Our Technology
We provide specialized rehabilitative services to our patients in the communities we serve. We often see patients who are recovering from disabilities caused by injuries, illnesses, or chronic medical conditions.
Our Technology
LiteGait®
LiteGait® is a gait training device that simultaneously controls weight bearing, posture, and balance over a treadmill or over ground to help patients comfortably walk in an environment free from falls. The system eliminates concerns for balance and helps in the training of lower body movement.
Its unique harness design creates and ideal environment for treating our patients who may have a wide range of impairments and ability levels. By allowing an increase or decrease in the weight-bearing load on the weaker side of the body, we may be able to begin gait training earlier in the rehabilitation process and at a lower weight-bearing level.
Bioness® Integrated Therapy System (BITS)
The Bioness Integrated Therapy System (BITS) is a software-based therapy platform designed to challenge, assess, and track vision, cognitive, motor and balance deficiencies. BITS was developed with feedback from therapists and can be customized for patients of all functional and mobility levels across the continuum of care.
EksoNR
EksoNR is the first robotic exoskeleton indicated for stroke and spinal cord injury NeuroRehabilitation and the only exoskeleton indicated for acquired brain injury. The wearable device augments strength to help these patients stand and relearn to walk, improving their step patterns, weight shifting, and posture. Sacramento Rehabilitation Hospital is using the device to mobilize patients earlier in their rehabilitation.
Clinical research suggests that including EksoNR gait training during inpatient rehabilitation can improve patients’ gait speed and walking distance. Most patients take an average of 400 steps their first-time training in the device. It is the most clinically-used exoskeleton and patients around the world have taken over 130 million steps and counting.
